The Men Of The Good Wife:

Although one could argue The Good Wife is a female driven show, I would add that the men on the show (unlike say a Desperate Housewives) are also well written, clearly thought out characters. They have a depth of character which has created some very interesting men. I also very much love how the show has not made the mistake many new shows do by telling us everything about the characters. The Men of The Good Wife have been introduced slowly and in layers with us learning bit and pieces about the characters each week.

-Chris Noth-

It is a testament to the writers of The Good Wife that I am enjoying Chris Noth in his role as Peter Florrick. I have actually really quite hated Noth in most of his previous work. I did not see much of him on Law & Order, but his role as Mr. Big in Sex and the City is one of many reason I never really got into the show. Mr. Big was an ass and I always felt he treated Carrie like shit. I was firmly in the camp of never wanting them to get together. I think Noth (and argue if you don't agree) is one of those men who appeals much more to women than gay men. Women seemed to LOVE Mr. Big but I just saw him as a tool.

Noth also plays a bit of an arrogant ass on The Good Wife, but in this case there appears to be more clearly written motivations for his actions. In addition, the woman in his life, unlike in SATC, is not sitting back waiting for him to change. She is firmly in control.

-Matt Czuchry-

When actor Matt Czuchry joined The Gilmore Girls in the shows last few seasons I was not a fan. Sure he was adorable but I was a die hard Jess/Rory fan and found his character simply just annoying. Matt certainly has turned this around with his role as Cary. As The Good Wife ends its first season we are just getting to know Cary and the depths he will go to in order to achieve success. Really loving Matt in this role.

-Josh Charles-

This past March I did a series of posts about an actor I love, Josh Charles. Josh has been in some great projects, yet has never really gotten the attention he deserves. Hopefully his role of 'Will' on The Good Wife will correct that. Josh has always played complex characters and I think the show has just brushed the surface of Josh's character.

Favorite Guy from 'The Good Wife': James Carpinello

I have been planning a post about actor James Carpinello for awhile now. I first saw James many years ago when he played Randy on a few episodes of Felicty. I have been keeping an eye out for him ever since. James plays Detective Anthony Burton on The Good Wife and I truly hope the show keeps him around next season. James is an amazing actor and hot as hell. Some you might know James from his roles on The Closer, So noTORIous, The Punisher and his many stage roles.

My original post about James would have been about his stage work. James has appeared on and off Broadway for many years. From his roles in Saturday Night Fever , Hairspray through his stint in the Tony nominated Rock of Ages. Carpinello is also known for a role he did not get to play, that of Sonny, the lead role in Xanadu. Due to an injury to his foot while roller skating during a rehearsal, Carpinello was forced to leave the production just two weeks before its scheduled debut. Cheyenne Jackson went on to replace him.

James is married to actress Amy Acker, known to many for her role on Angel. They have two children.

Favorite Pic of the Day for May 19th

Model Simon Dexter is all over the blog world this week with his work with Blake Magazine with photographer Paul Reitz. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon I thought I would post this shot, one of my favorites from Simon.

Kudos to Ryan Gossling

Seriously Hot! Ryan Gossling is not only a great actor he has fashion sense to boot. Most of 'Young Hollywood' steps onto the red carpet like they just woke up. Gossling, here at the photocall for his movie 'Blue Valentine' at Cannes looks like the star he is.

Just Because: Will Forte

I think Will Forte's 'MacGruber' is going to be a big hit. Firstly, the movie looks very funny. Secondly, on the heels of all the publicity for the Betty White episode of SNL, 'MacGruber' could not have asked for a better publicity with the character getting three appearances on the BS show. Will lookin mighty fine in these pics!

Surprise Nudity of the Day: Justin Chatwin & Scott Michael Foster

Two actors I have posted about in the past, and whom I had brief crushes on have both shown their first bit of skin. Thanks to the posters who have supplied video downloads of;

Justin Chatwin who along with Emmy Rossum has a hot scene in the US adaptation of the show 'Shameless'. Word is actor Steve Howey also has a hot scene.
