Just Because: So You Think You Can Dance!

I have never really watched So You Think You Can Dance with any regularity. I have had it on in the background and have tuned in to see a particular dancer I liked but this is the first season I have actually invested in the show. I finished off my three weeks of DVR recordings the other night and I am totally hooked! My favorite dancer thus far is the talented ,and awfully, cute Jess LeProtto. The Broadway dancer just makes me smile every time he hits the stage.

My favorite couple however would be Marko Germar (above) and Melanie Moore (below). Together they are magic! Their Lyrical Hip Hop last week hit a note with me because of my own past experiences (which is what great art is supposed to do). The storyline of the dance (never thought I would ever type that phrase) was of a female friend, physically and emotionally, supporting her male friend after he was stood up at the alter. The friendship turns to romance within the performance. I know I am late to the party but I am surprised how many numbers on this show pack such an emotional punch!

Cutting The Chord!

Call me crazy but I don't really think Chord Overstreet or his fans have anything to worry about. Yes I know it was announced last weekend (on the last day of Glee's tour in the UK) that Darren Criss and Harry Shum Jr were getting promoted to regulars and Chord was not but I have a feeling Sam will still be a regular fixture next season.

Ryan Murphy is not always completely honest when he discusses the show (he gave so many mixed messages and lies about Kurt's love interest last season). Chord is popular with the fans, totally adorable, willing to go shirtless, and often and immensely talented. (Chord's version of Baby Baby actually had me liking the dumb song!). Harry Shum has been a 'guest star' since first appearing in the shows forth episode Preggers, but has appeared in pretty much every episode since. Jessalyn Gilsig, Jayma Mays, Jenna Ushkowitz and Amber Riley have all been regulars the past two years and often are given little, or nothing to do for weeks at a time.

The show still has not found a way to properly use Jane Lynch. Jane's Sue has not hit the right note since early in season 1. She is either underused or overused to the point of becoming an annoying cartoon.

Being a regular on Glee does not guarantee an actor screen time or storyline, that is usually up to the whim of Ryan Murphy. Usually his whims run between Lea Michelle and Chris Colfer with not much room for the rest of the cast most times anyway. I could be wrong but I think we will be seeing about as much as Sam next season as we did next.

Chord should have joined Shum and Criss, Dianna Agron and Jenna Ushkowitz on Keenan Cahill's new youtube vido of Katy Perry's Last Friday Night! Oh How I love me some Harry!

Shooting Adam Rexx

'I met Albert Lopez at his studio in Los Angeles. Our shoot was the longest to date (for me at least.) The shoot started at about 6PM and lasted until about 1AM. Albert Lopez is a young up-and-coming fashion photographer and clothing designer, and he is amazing to work with!'

Two shots above by Albert Lopez.

Many of you no doubt have seen and heard of model Adam Rexx. Adam says that he is an artist at heart and strives to have his shoots be both creative and artistic. Rexx describes his style as bold, erotic and sensual with a touch of GQ. With these styles in mind, Adam chose the perfect group of photographers to work with, all of whom are known for pushing the envelope within their work.

Adam is certainly a natural in front of the camera. Combining a overt sexuality mixed with a classic face Adam's expressions often become the focus of many shots. The last few months have been busy ones for Adam, working on many new shoots with several photographers to build a strong and memorable portfolio. Adam shares with FH his thoughts on some of his recent work and the talented artists behind the lens.

Three shots below from Ninon Nguyen.

'Ninon Nguyen has this special chemistry with his camera. So everything he shoots turns into an amazing piece of art. He really is incredible and very down to Earth. He is a lot of fun to work with! Ninon and I will be working together again towards the end of July. We shot together last week for the third time.'

Next three shots from Santiago Lucciano Bisso.

Three shots below by Ed Olsen.

'I love working with Ed Olen! He is one of my favorite local photographers. Ed and I will be shooting again this coming Thursday.'

2 shots below by Michael Stokes. I love's Michael's work, so strong, so sexual, so unapologetic. Check out my previous profile featuring Michael's work HERE:

'I can't say enough about Michael Stokes. His work is flawless! Each shot is like a work of art. He is very detailed and precise when executing his vision!'

Look for Adam's official site coming soon!
In the meantime check him out on Model Mayhem and join him on Facebook HERE:

'Write inappropriate comments, post on my wall while you're lying in bed at night, tell me your dirty thoughts, ask me questions that are way too personal! I want to keep in touch with you! I want to hear from you and give you everything you've ever wanted in an internet-boyfriend!'

Favorite Click of the Day: Russ Osterweil in TTH

This past March I profiled the work of photographer Russ Osterweil. (see that profile HERE:) I love his work and Russ says that one of the goals within his work is to create something deeper within his images as he is tired of seeing predictable and soulless images over and over.

Osterweil's work has been profiled in a 14 page feature in the current issue of Ticket to Hell Check it out HERE:

Favorite Video of the Day:

Two weeks ago 21 year old star on-baller Tom Couch from Australia, challenged @bellparkdragons to find him 200 Twitter followers in a 24 hour period. Tom was so confident that this would not happen that he pledged to run nude around Hamlyn Park (home to the Bell Park Sport & Recreation Club) should the magical 200 mark be reached that day. Obviously from the video below, Tom got those 200 followers quite quickly!
