Another 12 Days

Over the last couple of Decembers, I have done a feature entitled 12 Days, focusing on the many men of Holiday movies and specials. I started it again this year, but time got the best of me. Hopefully if FH is still around next Christmas I will strt it up again, but in the meantime check out the scrumptious James Gaisford (below) and the other 12+ men of 12 Days.

Cabin In The Woods: Brad by Carl Proctor

I think all of us at one time or another, have dreamed of getting away from all the craziness of the holiday hoopla, and head to a cabin in the woods. Cutting down a small tree from the forest, adding some lights and putting it in the corner of a cozy living room, surrounded by planks of pine. Add a roaring fire, some good food and wine and of course, someone you care about, and the perfect Christmas is created.

But... the reality is.... for most of us, the closest we'll get to that cabin in the woods, is through watching some Lifetime TV movie, probably starring Heather Locklear. No matter how many times I vow to have a relaxed, quiet Christmas, they all end up crazed and stressful. I have been so busy this year I have yet to watch even one Christmas movie or special, something I don't think I am going to get to until at least the 27th.

If we can't get to that cabin in the woods literally, at least we can dream about it. And, since it's a fantasy, why not go big and pretend we're joining Carl Proctor as he heads back to a cabin to shoot model Brad Canali. In addition to Brad's sumptuous body, his great lips and gorgeous blue eyes are captured beautifully by Carl, making that imaginary journey into the woods even that much more compelling.

Although Carl's camera clearly loves Brad, but it took awhile to get him in front of the lens. The 21 year old had been told a few times he should give modeling a try, but Brad was focused on one passion that took a hundred percent of his time and energy. For Brad, building that awesome body was a compulsion, with lifting and working out dominating his days.

'I had to think about what I would love to do for the rest of my life. The only thing I could think of is weight lifting but there are few to no jobs in that field. That is when I realized modeling could be what I am looking for... a chance to show everyone what I have put all my time into over the years.'

Although he's been modeling for less than year, Carl shares that Brad created a flurry of attention after setting up his ModelMayhem page and posting some of his images. Brad's years of working on his body clearly paid off and many of the best chroniclers of the male form are looking to get him into the studio. No matter where his modeling takes him, Brad is currently enjoying the ride, wherever it may take him. Thankfully for us, one of the places it has taken him, is into our fantasy's about that cabin out in the woods.

Back Door Santa by Richard Rothstein

I'm your Back door Santa
I make my run, At the break of day
Well, I ain't like Old Saint Nick
He don't come, But once a year
Clarence Carter, 1969

Every culture and country of the world has their own version of what Santa Claus is. What he looks like, what his purpose is, and what gifts he might bring. I think some of my favorite versions of ole Kris Kringle are Richard Rothstein's versions of a New York Santa.

Although Richard's Santa's are more naughty than nice, his goals is the same as all Santa's, to spread pleasure into every door he enters. Last December, I introduced you to Richard's Manhattan Santa, and this December I am pleased to bring you Richard's Back Door Santa a Claus who know that it's always better to give than to receive.
